St. Clair Farms: Let
Us Introduce Ourselves
Mike and Kim were married in 1978 and started St. Clair
Farms in 1980. We both came from farming backgrounds; both following
several generations of horsemen. We purchased our first AQHA registered
filly colt in 1980. The palomino filly was a paternal granddaughter
of Cutter Bill and out of a daughter of Gold King Bailey.
The entire family is involved in our horse
business and grew up on horseback. Nikki (St. Clair) Zimmermann and
her husband Dan reside in Kansas City but are on the farm and help
during foaling, branding and weaning. Courtney (St.Clair) Kirchner,
her husband Chris and son Tanner are only a few miles away and help
in managing the operation. Both Lacey and Cody are in college but,
are highly involved in the operation.
As you look through our web pages we hope you enjoy the horses
as much as we do. Kim and I have spent years putting this group
of horses together. We look for confirmation, pedigree, color, disposition
and ability. All of our mares are ridden and if the combination
of ability and disposition are not truly visible the mare does not
enter the program. We are very pleased with our stallion line-up
too. All of our stallions are asked to prove themselves in both
the pasture and the arena.
Our door is always open and we love to talk about or show our horses.
